During a solo performance at The Orleans Exhibit Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lewis said a few colorful words, such a "bougie," to describe Borland. The back-and-along stems from a previous atmospherics at a Jacksonville aerodrome, co-ordinate to the Talk Toomey podcast.

"Aaron Lewis came upwardly to me in an airport randomly," Borland explained. "I was visiting my parents in Jacksonville and flying back to L.A. And… I only happened to run into him and hadn't seen him in a while. He goes, 'Where are yous headed?' And I went, 'I'yard going home.' And he goes, 'Home?' and I went, 'Yeah, I but visited my parents. I'grand going back home to L.A,'" Borland said.

He continued: "And, for the record, I've lived in L.A. longer than I've lived in whatever other city in my life. And he goes… Aaron looks at me and he kind of turns his chin up and he goes, 'Nah, human being. Remember where you came from. Florida is your home, not Fifty.A. That'southward dwelling.' And I just went, 'F**grand you, man.' And I never talked to him again after that."

The guitarist said he wishes "nothing simply the worst for him," calculation, "I don't wanna be a s**t talker, just I have no problem talking s**t about that guy. He'south terrible."

Lewis traded jabs during his evidence soon after communicable wind of the comments, and 'round and 'circular information technology goes. However, none of the tension seems to come between Lewis and Durst's respect for one another.

Lewis defended Durst on phase

Despite whatever has happened between Borland and Lewis, the Staind vocalizer however defends his friends when needed. During a recent show, Lewis singled out a fan who shouted obscenities in the proper name of Durst. Lewis stopped the bear witness to say a few things.

"How crazy is it that Billy Zane is the lead grapheme in that," referring to the music video, led past Durst, Louwire reported. "You know we spent – well we didn't. Well, we did – but Fred spent like a meg and a half dollars on that fucking video. Dumb shit. There'due south then many means I could accept spent that coin."

To which the fan interrupted with his stance of Durst.

"No, Fred's the whole reason I'm sitting in front of y'all tonight," Lewis said. "And I gotta say that at this point in my life I call Fred when I need like Dalai Lama advice, for existent."

He continued saying Durst "blows his mind" and that he's very "thankful" he and Durst were able to get past previous bad feelings confronting one another.

"Every time I hear someone yell something back about Fred I want to but like screech to a halt and exist like 'What?' That is the reason I'thousand here. I'd have given upwards a long time ago I retrieve and I probably would have written songs that fabricated my kids laugh and I would accept been okay with that," he said.

Durst lost everything in California wildfire

In November. 2018, Loudwire reported that Durst lost his home to the California wildfires. Durst took to his Instagram stories feature to ostend the news with a photo with the caption: "When you wake upwardly and your house has burned downwards but you lot were able to salvage your chair and thermos and paddleball."

"Did whatsoever of yous know that he lost everything in that W Coast fire that just happened? Everything. Everything," he said. "He drove his Harley Davidson away from his house because he couldn't even get his automobile out of the garage."
