I loved the images in the book and it illustrated the fun and hard work going on in Pixar studios. Although some of it didn't make it to the films, they are still interesting ideas. Nice artwork and some funny sections that should have made the movies!

Cute book. I love that almost everything is hand-drawn, it's cute to look at CG characters as 2D comics. My favourites were from Monsters Inc/University. If you're buying this book new, it's definitely overpriced. I got it second hand, so I'm pleased. It's really cool that this book spans from the first Toy Story movie all the way to Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. Pixar is a really cool place with a really cool bunch of people. I am super interested in the role of artists behind the scenes of some of the greatest Pixar movies, so this book was a must look. I say "must look" versus "must read" as it is the scraps, thoughts, and drawings of numerous artists that either made the cut or didn't into final films. It is a fun walk through the "I remember that scene" memories and is a fascinating look at what artists can produce on a whim with a paper and marker. Appreciation all around. It didn't reach the promised level of discovery but it functioned as a fun glimpse into the story process at Pixar. What you do see is great and a lot of fun but it works as a curio and less as a look into the function of the story board and story department of an animation studio.
